New milestone: 500 million placed SMD components in 2023
Last week, Psicontrol reached the special milestone of no less than 500 million placed SMD components in 2023. That spectacular number was achieved for the first time in a single year, which is a new highlight for our company.
This new milestone was achieved in tandem at our production plant in Ieper (Belgium) and our plant in Râșnov (Romania). Therefore, the special highlight was celebrated at both plants on the same day to thank all the Belgian and Romanian colleagues for their contributions. Both teams were also photographed with the symbolic figure of 500,000,000.
"The recent investments in new SMD lines at our production site in Romania have significantly increased the overall capacity of our production facilities. In that regard, in Ieper and Râșnov together, we have as many as six SMD lines that have made it possible for us to realize this great milestone. Components are placed on printed circuit boards on our highly modern and automated SMD lines, which ultimately end up in the products of our customers from very diverse industries. We are, therefore, particularly proud of the teams in Ieper and Romania that have worked so hard to achieve this milestone," said Peter Baert (Operations Manager).
